Whole Pork Share **DEPOSIT**
Pork Shares are a way for you to purchase home grown pork in bulk. Buying this way can help your family save money and worry less about shopping for meat in the future.
We raise registered Berkshire pigs. Berkshire meat is more delicate than your regular meat and has very good marbling. They produce excellent quality meat to stock your freezer with.
Deposits
Whole pig: $500.00
Deposits are Nonrefundable and go towards the total price of your pig.
Total price
$9.50/lb hanging weight.
(The final price is based off the hanging weight of the hog. A 300lb live pig will cost you roughly $1995.00) Payment for the pork share must be made in full prior to the pick up date from the processor. Payment plans can be available upon request. Payment plan must be completed and paid in full prior to the delivery of your share.
The exact price will depend on if you want a whole or half hog share and how much the pig weighs. This price DOES include *butcher fees. Once it gets closer to processing time, I will discuss with you the specific cuts you would like. I will include 10lbs for a half hog share. Any additional sausage amounts that you request, you will have to pay for. We provide the meat to be wrapped in butcher paper. If you would like your meat to be vacuum sealed, that is an additional $.40/lb.

Additional Info
Hang weight refers to the weight of the pig after scald & scrape, head on, insides removed. Hanging Weight = 70% of the Live Weight. So, using the same pig at a live weight of 300 pounds ... 300 x 70% = 210 pound hanging weight.
For bone-in pork, expect NO MORE than 75%-80% of the hanging weight back as meat. For boneless, expect NO MORE than 65%-70% of the hanging weight back as meat.
